Not usable and not needed for 3-pawl system.

Note: This type of ring-nut installer can only be used if you have the "ratchet" system in your freewheel/hub. You cannot use it for the DT-Swiss "three-pawl" system. To change the wheel bearings in the three-pawl system, you do not need a ring-nut installer. (Incidentally, I only found this out after I had already bought these, but was able to return them neatly).
