The PolyX Breaker is the result of Continental being able to translate a car-industry technology to a bicycle tyre: Polyester has been employed successfully in car tyres for years and has seen a multitude of tests performed on it. The extremely resistant polyester fibres are woven into place diagonally. This creates an extremely high fabric density which not only makes the breaker layer incredibly resistant to sharp objects, but also extremely resilient against penetration. The PolyX Breaker does not negatively impact rolling resistance.
BlackChili
A new balance between grip and rolling resistance. This unique rubber compound, produced only in the German Continental factory, has vastly improved bicycle tyres. The BlackChili compound reduces rolling resistance by 26% and offers 30% more grip than many existing silica compounds. Tyres with the BlackChili compound impress hugely when it comes to mileage as well in contrast to many multi-compound tyres. This means that Continental can offer a more constant ride from the very first to the last kilometres.

Decent tyres, great look.
Good Conti tyres with a classic twist. The tan wall is nicely understated and the tyres feel lovely and grippy. Went in the rims super easy and had no punctures so far.

Fantastic Tyres
I got these tyres for my road bike as an upgrade from the standard 23mm tyres my bike came with, their classic style together with the modern technologies was an instant win. I was not disappointed at all! Surprisingly easy to fit to the rims, they are comfortable and roll well on all road surfaces I have cycled on so far. They also look fantastic and I have had nothing but compliments about them!

Great looks
I bought these for the looks on my Wilier singlespeed bike. I must say they have transformed it as well, very pleased. Most impressive rolling resistance too and cornering seems respectable not that I've pushed them too much yet. Not been out in the wet but the grooves do inspire confidence. All in all a great upgrade :)
