Basically, the Batavus Mambo is well suited as a mother and family bike, with a double stand and handlebar lock, it can be used as a real pack mule for kids and groceries. But when the kids get bigger and the bike seats are no longer needed the Mambo is a very good basis for a modern touring or city bike thanks to the good brakes and seven gears, With the MIK HD system in the carrier, you can easily swap a bike seat with a double pannier or a nice basket.

Please note!The men's version does not have a double stand, bike basket or handlebar lock. However, this bike is equipped with the MIK HD system in the carrier and there is enough room on the stem for a bike seat. With the Mambo, dads can also easily take the kids for a ride!

A real pack mule
That the Batavus Mambo is a real pack mule is evidenced by the maximum loadable weight of 150 kilograms! The luggage carrier can be loaded to 35 kilograms, more than enough for a child's bike seat! In other words, a child on the front and back, plus groceries? No problem! And thanks to the handlebar lock and double stand, loading and unloading luggage (and children) is very easy. For the things you want to keep handy, the women's version also comes with a basket at the front. To top it off, the pedals are equipped with an anti-slip material. So even in the rain you pedal securely. Great for transporting anything!

Always reliable
A family bike should always work when you need it. After all, the family never stands still! Shopping, taking children to school, music lessons or sports, visiting grandparents, it does not stop! That's why we chose to equip the Batavus Mambo with reliable components that won't leave you out in the cold! The hydraulic disc brakes are designed to brake perfectly even in the rain. The seven gears are concealed in the rear hub, which means that dirt and water hardly affect wear and tear, so relatively little maintenance is required. Even in dark conditions, you can always rely on the automatically dimming front and rear lights that run on a hub dynamo. Flat batteries are a thing of the past on this city bike!

Perfect handling
There's no question that a family bike doesn't handle and ride like a sports bike. Yet it's certainly not a punishment to ride the Mambo. The Shimano Nexus 7 hub gears make it easy to get around, even when fully loaded. There is also always a gear to be found for uphill riding or when there is a lot of headwind. And if that one annoying traffic light turns red just when you are approaching at full speed? Then the Tektro HD-386 disc brakes will have you come to a stop in no time. On top of that, the Batavus Mambo is equipped with Schwalbe Road Cruiser tires. These tires have a slightly studded tread, giving you plenty of grip even in wet and muddy conditions.

Safety first
Of course, you'll want to be able to park off a beautiful bike like the Batavus Mambo at your destination knowing it is safe. Fortunately, the Mambo is standard equipped with an Abus ring lock with the possibility of a burglar chain or cable. Unfortunately, these are not included, so you will have to buy them separately.
