SRAM Apex D1 Flattop Chain is a flattop chain with a unique look. Flattop technology is so much more than a distinctive look. In fact, it ensures that the chain is lighter, stronger and more durable than a traditional chain. The Apex chain is constructed using the same design as the Rival and Force chains, but with a polished grey finish.

Purchased because the original one broke after 1 week. This one has since survived the holidays and mountains in France, although I'm still a bit cautious while shifting gears and the amount of force you can keep putting on the pedals. If a stronger one fits the APEX 12t I would prefer it, but I needed one quickly before leaving.
