Comfort and control
The Ritchey WCS ergomax handlebar's rise of 10 mm will give you more of an upright cycling position, which will result in a higher level of comfort. You will also experience this comfort when you cycle with your hands on the handlebars. The top of this handlebar is ergonomically shaped! The handlebar drops are facing outwards, so you still have a feeling of control over your bike on bumpy surfaces.
Durable and stiff aluminium, Di2 compatible
The Ritchey WCS Ergomax handlebar is made of 7050 aluminium. Thanks to this high-quality aluminium, the handlebar has a relatively low weight and high durability.
On the bottom side of the handlebar is a groove through which you can pass Di2 cables to connect them to the junction that is placed in the handlebar top.

price quality top.
Straighter sitting position due to the rise of 1 cm. More comfortable when cycling

Excellent for adding a little comfort to a road bike
I bought these handlebars after a wrist injury that prevented me from keeping the same position on an aero bike. These handlebars are perfect for slightly mitigating the aggressive geometry of a road bike. The 10mm rise allows you to adjust your position on the bike to perfection and relieve the pressure on your wrists. I was worried that the flare out would be too pronounced (as on some gravel hangers), but this is not the case: it's subtle enough to adopt an aero position that remains sufficiently manageable. What's more, aesthetically, this hanger is a real eye-catcher...

Troubleshooter
I chose the Ritschey WCS Ergomax one size wider than my old handlebars. This, together with the special features of the handlebar, made hand and shoulder complaints decrease significantly. This is partly because with handlebars like these, you are initially paying constant attention to your posture. Take a look at Mantel's info on adjusting the handlebars and choosing and applying a handlebar tape. The info from Roel Peerenboom on YouTube is also valuable. Also pay attention to the transition from handlebar bend to shifter. I filled the dimple there with pieces of handlebar tape before wrapping the handlebar tape so that the hand is fully supported when lying on the shifter. I have been riding with a double handlebar tape for years, including with the Ergomax.

Comfortable without compromising (too much) on sportiness
This handlebar offers more places to hold your handlebars comfortably without feeling like you are holding your handlebars incorrectly. Especially on the short grip, there is clearly more room for the hands. I am between a 52 and 54cm in terms of width. Opted for the 54cm to have more space. This allows me to vary my posture better and longer rides are more manageable. Together with the WCS stem a very nice appearance!

Ideal if you are looking for a comfortable handlebar.
Fully meets expectations in terms of comfort and stiffness, especially in combination with a thicker handlebar tape (2.5 or 3.2 mm). No more dead hands due to ergonomic design.
