Description
The DT Swiss PR 1600 Spline 32 road bike wheels are popular thanks to the half-high rim tread and aluminum brake tracks. Because of this you have maximum rigidity due to the short spokes, combined with good braking power. Another advantage of the half-high rim is a better power transmission. The DT Swiss PR 1600 Spline 32 is actually a very nice upgrade for the standard wheels of your road bike. o don't hesitate any longer and experience the fine features of the DT Swiss PR 1600 Spline 32 wheels.
The low weight in combination with the use of a DT Swiss 350 hub, makes for a very durable and high quality wheelset. Thanks to the ratchet body, you can get back on speed very quickly. You lose little power when you put your foot on your pedals. The DT Swiss hubs have been known as one of the best in terms of durability and sealing for years. The PR 1600 Spline 32 is simply a very solid wheelset, hence the maximum weight is 130 kg. If you are looking for a solid, reliable and light wheelset, then the DT Swiss PR 1600 Spline 32 is for you!
DT Swiss 350 hub
If you are looking for the most affordable high-performance hubs available, take a closer look at the 350 hubs. The 350 body has the same performance as the more high-end hubs, but is built with slightly heavier components to offer the same reliability at a much lower cost. The patented ratchet body system has a very fast power transfer and guarantees top performance and reliability. This system can be disassembled and maintained without tools.
Pro Lock spoke nipples
Pro Lock is a process in which a patented 2-component adhesive liquid is injected into the nipple thread, allowing for extremely durable wheel constructions. By turning the nipple on the spoke, the adhesive is activated and begins to harden. The wheel can still be adjusted after the glue has fully hardened, with only a minimal loss of locking function. As a result, your wheels maintain much better spoke tension for longer. This extends durability and proper spoke tension by up to 20 times compared to wheels without Pro Lock nipples.
Tubeless ready
These wheels feature a tubeless ready rim that allows for the use of tubeless tyres and latex. This set-up minimises punctures. Should a puncture occur, the latex will fill the gap within seconds. Other advantages of riding tubeless are lower rolling resistance, more comfort and better grip. Of course, it is still possible to fit your old-fashioned folding tyres with inner tubes.
• DT Swiss Tubeless valves 40 mm
• DT Swiss Tubeless tape 21 mm wide
• DT Swiss RWS Quick Release
• 9/10-speed spacer
• Valve core remover
• (possibly a torque wrench)
Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.
• For Shimano 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before installing the cassette
• Make sure the rim tape is stuck well in the rim
