Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- The maximum power output of 2500 watts and real-time descent and ascent percentages between -15% and 20% ensure that almost any ride can be fully replicated.
- You can customise the KICKR BIKE V2 to your exact specifications through the five point adjustable fit system and the option to mount your own handlebars, saddle and pedals.
- The virtual shifting technology allows you to adjust the KICKR BIKE to match the smallest details of groupsets from SRAM, Shimano and Campagnolo for a highly realistic shifting experience.
- Thanks to the new WiFi module, you can connect to your WiFi network for an even faster and more stable connection to your devices, and receive firmware updates automatically.
- Does not have a screen or tablet or phone holder; it does have a small display on the frame that provides real-time information on incline and gear shifting.
- Comes with platform pedals as standard, not with clipless pedals.
Specifications
The Kickr Bike uses a newer type of motor than the other Kickr models. This powerful motor has a maximum power output of 2,500 watts and, thanks to the large flywheel combined with a motorised brake, provides super high accuracy and a very realistic cycling feel. Each change in resistance is very smooth, making climbing, accelerating, slowing down and descending feel very similar to riding your bike outside!
KICKR Direct Connect
Connect your KICKR BIKE to all your devices via Kickr Direct Connect, which allows the smart bike to connect directly to the internet. Thanks to the new WiFi module, you can connect to your WiFi network for an even faster and more stable connection with your devices, and receive firmware updates automatically.
Realistic outdoor ride feel
You can adjust the incline percentage manually, but when you do a workout, the KICKR BIKE automatically adjusts the angle and cadence. Because the Kickr Bike actually changes the grade physically, it feels as if you are really climbing or descending. Shifting gears has also been made to feel as natural as possible. Not only are the shifters realistically designed, they are also fully adjustable, from the cogs per chainring to entire groupsets from SRAM, Shimano and Campagnolo. As a result, gear shifting feels exactly like it does on your bike. And the digital display on the frame lets you see the exact gradient and the gear in which you're riding.
Third party apps and connectivity
It goes without saying that the Wahoo KICKR BIKE can be connected with most popular trainings apps, such as Zwift, The Sufferfest, FulGaz, Rouvy and TrainerRoad. The Wahoo Fitness App can also be used, and all cycle computers with Bluetooth or ANT+ connectivity can be paired with the Kickr Bike.
Adjustment options
To replicate the experience of outdoor cycling as faithfully as possible, you will want to ride in the same position as on your road or mountain bike. The Wahoo Fitness App lets you do so very easily; it allows you to copy the geometry of your outdoor bike and transfer it to the KICKR BIKE. You can adjust the Kickr Bike to match your ideal riding position at no less than 5 points (saddle height and angle, frame height, stack, reach and crank length). Furthermore, because the KICKR Bike uses universal mounting options for the handlebars and saddle, you can easily replace these by your preferred handlebars or saddle.
Well-known quality
As with Wahoo's entire KICKR line, you may expect the very best quality and materials.
Wahoo Fitness App
The Wahoo Fitness App can be downloaded for free from the iTunes App Store or Google Playstore. This app offers 4 training settings for the Wahoo KICKR:
1. Level mode: Choose a level between 1 and 9. The level you select determines how challenging the ride will be, using a power curve similar to that of a standard wind or fluid trainer (higher speed = more power).
2. Resistance mode: Set resistance manually between 0 and 100%.
3. ERG mode: Set the desired power and the KICKR BIKE will increase or decrease the resistance to maintain a constant power output, regardless of your speed.
4. SIM mode: Uses rolling resistance, air resistance, the rider's weight and grade to simulate a real ride.
• Charging plug
• Allen wrenches
• Handlebar assembly
• Seat post and saddle assembly
The Kickr comes as a compact package with most of it already assembled. The main thing left for you to do is to mount the stand, the contact points (handlebars, saddle and pedals) and, of course, to connect with the network. With the included user manual, this is very easy to do!
How does the KICK BIKE V2 read power?
The power measurement of the Kickr Bike V2 is integrated into the turbo trainer and is single-sided. If you connect the Kickr Bike to a cycle computer that can read power, the readings can be sent to that cycle computer.
Can I do a test run on the KICKR BIKE V2?
Absolutely! That is, if you are, or live, in the Netherlands: there is one in each of our Superstores (Arnhem, 's-Hertogenbosch, Rotterdam and Utrecht). Come see us there and do a test ride on the KICKR BIKE V2 so that you can make the best possible decision.

A sublime purchase
I bought this kickr bike V2 because my previous Tacx Neo had become irreparable. I don't regret my purchase for a second, it's just like cycling outside, only you don't hear the birds singing. It couldn't be more realistic, the gradient is automatically transferred to your bike, which is pleasant and an experience richer. The bike can be adjusted just like your road bike by means of a Simulation from Wahoo.

Excellent!
After 3 months in use 4000 km in Zwift am very happy with it. Can handle hard sprints. Stable. Precise powermeter. Feels very goeg. Screen shows acceleration. So much better than my SB20. Thanks to direct connect I have had no interruptions in Zwift. Tilting works super responsive. It could have been a little quieter but it's not that bad either. Despite what the description says I didn't get flat pedals with it.
