The aluminium frame of the X-Caliber 8 has a sophisticated geometry that ensures great handling. It makes the bike agile and responsive while also providing stability at higher speeds on descents. The frame is well finished and even has mounting points for a luggage rack and a kickstand to make the bike more versatile, and suitable for everyday use. Add the smoothly engaging RockShox Judy suspension fork, which enhances steering precision and control when going over bumps and obstacles, and you have a bike with a highly reliable base.

For the drivetrain of the the X-Caliber 8, Trek has selected the Shimano Deore drivetrain with an XT rear derailleur. This guarantees fast and trouble-free gear changing, even under load. The 11-51 cassette gives you a wide gearing range, enabling you to tackle even the steepest climbs. And on descents, you can rely on Shimano's powerful and well-modulated hydraulic brakes. They will bring you to a safe and controlled stop at all times.

Great bike, poor assembly

The bike was delivered to me with an incorrectly fitted front fork. I had to have this fixed by a bike shop. These costs were paid for by Mantel but it does cost an unnecessary amount of effort.
