Description
The Trek Procaliber 9.7 is Trek's carbon hardtail mountain bike. It's light, comfortable, and stiff, with above-average rideability. This makes the Procaliber a sought-after bike among avid bikers.
The Trek Procaliber's frame is made of OCLV carbon. It's light and stiff, and very comfortable with the Isospeed decoupler. Because of this decoupler, your back gets less blows to deal with. This keeps you fresh for longer and allows you to ride faster.
But the Procaliber 9.7 is more than just a fantastic frame. The wheels are also of very good quality. The Bontrager Kovee wheels are made of carbon, which makes them extra light and stiff. The boost hubs provide even more stiffness making the Procaliber perform very well on climbs and in a sprint. The extra stiffness also ensures very sharp steering behaviour, leading to a great bike for cornering.
As for the rest, this Procaliber is fitted with very good components that match the level of the bycicle. The Reba front fork gives very good damping and with the lockout on the handlebars its easy to operate. The NX Eagle groupset uses many of the same techniques as the GX groupset, so it also shifts very directly. And with the 1x12 group you'll never suffer from a slow shifting front derailleur again.
All this makes the Trek Procaliber 9.7 a very fine mountain bike that will help shave of time of all your personal records.
