Trek Emonda SL 5

The Trek Émonda SL 5 is Trek's lightweight road bike, which been completely renewed for 2021.

Newly designed, aerodynamic frame
The Trek Émonda SL 5 has a completely redesigned frame. The frame is now aerodynamically shaped so that the new Émonda has become even faster on the flats, with the same excellent handling characteristics.

Geometry
Trek's H1.5 geometry allows for a sporty stance without being uncomfortable. This geometry is the ideal middle ground between the comfort-oriented H2 geometry and the aggressive H1 geometry. The brake and gear cables are routed through the head tube in a neat, almost invisible way. In addition to being morepleasing to the eyel, it also provides an aerodynamic advantage.

Shimano 105 assembly
For the assembly of the Émonda SL 5, Trek chose the super reliable Shimano 105 R7000 groupset. Maybe not as sexy as its more expensive counterparts, but certainly not lacking in the shifting or braking quality. The groupset is also only slightly heavier than the expensive groups. With the compact 50/34 crankset and the 11-30 cassette, the Émonda is suitable for some serious climbing.

Bontrager Parts
Trek has been using its own Bontrager parts for many years. The same goes for the SL 5. The Affinity Disc wheelset is tubeless ready, ready for many fast kilometers of carefree cycling fun. The rest of the parts such as the bars, saddle and stem are also from Bontrager.
