Comfortable performance
All components on this Trek Domane AL 2 are focused on comfortable handling, good performance and a high degree of reliability. This makes it a great road bike for new cyclists or people who want a fast commuter bike as a replacement for their car!
This Trek Domane AL 2 is a very nice, versatile beginners road bike that you can enjoy riding for many years to come.
The frame of the Domane AL 2 is made of lightweight aluminium. And the sitting position is aimed at comfort. This makes it easy to get used to the racing position and to ride long distances. The carbon Isospeed fork damps vibrations, so you can also ride on not so smooth road surfaces.
Reliable components
The shifters and derailleurs are Shimano Claris. This groupset uses the same technologies as the highest Shimano groups and, therefore, shifts very well. The other components are Bontrager; they are the same ones as those featured on much more expensive road bikes. So, at this price you get a bike that performs surprisingly well.
Versatility
The frame also includes mounting points for mudguards and a rear luggage rack. They make the Domane AL 2 suitable for various types of use, including commuting and/or short cycling holidays.

Good service and fast but information could be clearer.
Nice bike and delivered quickly. What I had not seen was that it does not have disc brakes on it but old-fashioned brakes on the rim. This was an annoying surprise that perhaps belongs to buying online? I don't really understand why bikes without disc brakes are still sold. Nice bike, good service but annoying surprise. Could be clearer on the website, I think. The bike is for my son and he doesn't want to return it......

Good first or winter bike
Bought to replace a 10 year old winter bike that felt like a lump. Super happy with it - didn't expect it to be so comfortable and nippy. Yes, there are compromises on the component choice at this price point (brakes and gears) but this shouldn't be an issue for cycling in most of Holland. Do it!

Super bike, where the frame is designed for comfort, it exudes quality, the peripherals are correct for this price range, and won't let you down, just the 8-speed groupset, which works correctly but where parts are becoming hard to find. As for the rest, go for it...

All in all a very nice bike, delivery problem-free, 8-13Uhr requested, delivered on the scheduled day at 9 uhr; Top! Many thanks to our bike friends from the Netherlands :)
