The OpenRun Pro is designed with 9th generation bone conduction technology (called Shokz TurboPitch™ technology) to provide crisp and clear sound in the mid to high frequency range. Two added bass amplifiers allow you to experience every note, beat and chorus of your favourite song to the fullest, ensuring excellent sound quality.
Bone Conduction earplugs do not go directly into your ear canal. This means that your eardrums are bypassed completely. There is no traditional speaker that you place in your ear. Instead, there is a part at the ends of the headphones that transmits vibrations via your cheekbones. These are sent to the auditory nerves and then to your brain. Your brain reabsorbs this as ordinary sound. This product already contains the 7th generation of bone conduction technology. Finally a headset that does stay on while running. Tried several in-ears but always the same thing, halfway through running they fall out. So this Shokz does not and stays well in place. OK, the sound quality is less than the in-ears but still reasonable. You can also listen to podcasts thanks to the speech mode (adjustable via the app). Build quality is also fine and, on top of that, they can be stored in a nice sturdy case. Absolutely great as far as I'm concerned!
