Fine, fixed spd plates.
I also use these cleats for my road bike. With these cleats, I am more attached to my bike than with the SH-56 cleats. Now I can use 1 type of shoe for mtb, gravel and road. For mtb'ing, it might take some getting used to the fact that you can only unclip in 1 way. Personally, I haven't found it annoying.

As a beginner, I was in doubt which plates to order extra with my SPD pedals, these or the beginner plates that make clicking out even easier. I didn't have to get used to clicking in and out, so in hindsight I'm glad I opted for these 'normal' plates.
