An all-round mountain bike
The Scott Spark 970 is a real trail mountain bike. Its fork has 130 mm of suspension travel; its rear shock has 120 mm or 85 mm of travel. The Schwalbe Wicked Will 2.4 tyres provide high grip on all sorts of terrain. These properties make for a reliable MTB and maximum control on technical trails.

Move freely
You'll love the dropper post on this bike. Lower the saddle on the most challenging descents to be able to move freely on the bike and move your centre of gravity to the best position. When you start climbing, one click is all it takes to get the saddle back in the original position.

SRAM SX and NX
A bike's shifting behaviour is mainly determined by the derailleur. The SRAM NX derailleur on this Spark fully ensures smooth and instant shifting. It is also found on Scott's more expensive models. The rest of the drivetrain consists of a mix of SRAM SX and NX components. Although this group is a bit heavier and a bit more ruggedly finished than the top models, it absolutely performs well.

Handsome aluminium frame
This MTB's beautiful frame is made of strong aluminium. With the same sophisticated geometry as in the carbon variants of the Spark, you will ride the trails comfortably and with high control. Yes, aluminium is a bit heavier than carbon but it is a more affordable option. And with two bottle cages, you can undertake long tours and stay well hydrated.
