Nicely light and large but a stripped-down version of other bags with the Quick-Lock2.1

- Andy, 31 July, 2023

It is the lightest version of the big backroller panniers but you are also missing a few important parts. If you want to close this bag, it has to be rolled all the way up. Too bad Ortlieb did not attach adjustable and far too short straps to the buckles. I bought and shortened a couple of extra carrying straps myself, and then attached them to the existing buckles. This allows me to make full use of the large contents and still close the bags with the buckles. Also, Ortlieb's anti-theft cables do not fit this model. You can also find a creative solution for this: a steel cable with 2 loops.

Pros & Cons

Easy to attach and detach from carrier
large
Light
waterproof
expensive
must be completely rolled up to close
ortlieb anti-theft device does not fit on this model
straps are too short

Go for the classic

- Mar, 22 June, 2023

Still regret. Didn't think I needed the shoulder strap. A therefore fine to take the city. Butre closure is less user friendly and also the inside pockets are just well worth the money on the classic.

Pros & Cons

Cheaper than classic
Closes harder than classic
No inside pockets
No shoulder strap
