De Mavic Cosmic SL 32 Disc fietswielen zijn ontworpen om elke rijder een verbeterde tubeless rij-ervaring te geven. Deze wielen hebben een 32mm hoge U-vorm velg met een interne velgbreedte van 21mm. Dit maakt het mogelijk om met banden van 28-50mm te rijden. Niet alleen prettig voor in de racefiets om met bredere banden te kunnen rijden maar ook voor de gravel bike. Er ontstaat een veel comfortabelere rijervaring.
Dankzij de U-vorm velgen heeft de wind er minder vat op en kun je gemakkelijker je snelheid vasthouden. Bij Mavic noemen ze dit het NACA profiel wat is afgeleid van de vorm van een vleugel. De Mavic Instant Drive 360 body grijpt snel aan met een engagement van 9 graden waardoor je weer snel op gang kan trekken na een bocht.
De Mavic Cosmic SL 32 Disc racefiets wielen hebben dankzij de UST tubeless technologie minder kans op lekrijden, een lagere rolweerstand en een verbeterde rijkwaliteit. Het Mavic UST tubeless systeem heeft een dusdanig goede verbinding tussen velg en band dat je het met een gewone fietspomp tubeless kan maken.

Met Mavic Care kan je de garantie verlengen naar 3 jaar door je aangekochte wielset binnen 30 dagen te registreren op de website van Mavic. Ook activeer je daarmee de mogelijkheid tot crash replacement waardoor je tot 40% korting kan krijgen op een vergelijkbaar product. Hier kom je voor in aanmerking wanneer je wiel na een valpartij of aanrijding niet meer te herstellen is.

Via de MyMavic app (verkrijgbaar in de App Store en via Google Play) kun je een advies krijgen over de juiste bandbreedte én -druk, afgestemd op je velgbreedte en de ondergrond.

Too many flaws in a €1,000 wheelset.
Came out of the box with a stroke, both front and rear, so returned for a new set. These also turned out to have strikes, front 4 spokes and rear 6 spokes set, but also a height strike at the rear, on both wheels the hubs were not in the middle of the spoke angle and in front a bit in the hollow of the rim, and 3 sets of brake discs on these mavic hubs turned out to have woble, which on my old wheels don't show up. So really hugely strange factory errors that should have been taken out in no time at a quality check, but alas!!!. Further about service Mantel: good people behind the phone and mail, but between mail and answer of a week waiting time! That could be better!

Good carbon wheels
Compared to my Fulcrum alu, I didn't notice any gains when climbing. On the other hand, the stiffness is excellent when dancing, and on fast descents, the gains in stability, precision, grip and comfort are all there. I'm taking off one star because I don't think the rim finish is top-notch.
