Modern geometry
Lapierre has developed a mountain bike that doesn't really leave it anywhere. An innovative frame, excellent fittings, a high-quality fork and wheelset will ensure that you get plenty of miles at high speed.

Please note: due to the kink in the seatpost tube, the seatpost may need to be shortened (size S only) to reach the desired saddle height.
At the heart of the Lapierre Prorace CF 8.9 is the lightweight carbon frame. With a 68-degree head angle, this is a progressive cross country mountain bike. The use of this carbon makes the MTB very light and stiff, giving you very stable and direct steering. The cables run through the frame, so they are well protected from splashing mud and other dirt. The fork is a very fine Fox 32 StepCast. Light and efficient are the keywords.
Excellent shifting and braking
Shifting gears on this mtb is done via the Shimano XT drivetrain. This makes shifting very fast and reliable. The mountain bike comes with 12 gears and a 10-51 cassette. This gives the mountain bike a very wide gear range, so that you will also reach the top of steep hills without any problems. Braking is done with Shimano XT brakes. These offer lots of stopping power in a way highly appreciated by the more experienced mountain biker: powerful and direct.
Fast tyres
The tyres on this mtb are the fast Maxxis Rekon Race 2.35 tyres. These tyres roll lightly and are wonderfully supple. However, these tyres do lack some grip in wet conditions. In combination with the tubeless-ready rims, the tyres can be made tubeless!
