The core of this MTB is its lightweight aluminium frame, which gives you stable handling and responsive steering. As the cables are routed through the frame, they are well protected from splashing dirt. In off-road riding, suspension is very important. This is why Lapierre has fitted the fine RockShox Judy fork. It has a lock-out to allow you to block the suspension travel while riding, which is ideal when you're on asphalt, where you need little suspension. The Schwalbe tyres provide lots of grip so that you're comfortable and safe on your mountain bike and can say yes to any cycling adventure.
Reliable parts
For gear shifting, the Lapierre Edge 7.9 has the Shimano Deore 1x11 group. This group performs well and is very reliable. You also have a large cassette, and this setup gives you a large gearing range. For braking, the bike has Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, which deliver high braking power in good as well as bad conditions. What is also important, is that they are very easy to modulate, which you'll appreciate when tearing through the corners at high speed.

Good quality at a great price!
As a novice MTB rider I didn't want to go for a full bike right away, but for a bike where price-quality ratio was most important. For this price, equipped with mentioned components and with lock-out on the handlebars, I have not (yet) come across a better MTB. Also the color in real life is much nicer than in the pictures. This one is light gray with a green glow over it...very distinctive and very nice...So light green - which is what the description says - is not correct...Is something different from a dark color that most ride on. The few times I have cycled I have not (yet) encountered any drawbacks and the MTB rides/shifts very smoothly. You still have to pay attention to whether all screws, bolts, nuts, pedals, etc. are tight. This might be a (small) disadvantage if you buy a bike online. For me this was not a problem because I still had to adjust everything to my height etc. Tip: a bike pump with which you can inflate a French / Presta / Auto valve. The tires still need to be inflated to the correct pressure (bar), I was still in possession of a pump with which this was not possible. You could also consider buying other pedals. They are not the best, but they are okay for the beginning. In short, definitely recommended!

The bike is great.
For the money, value for money, a real winner, even though I ordered a "white" bike, it was a bit of a bummer that the person who prepared the bike was color blind when you get a gray with a shade of light olive green out of the box. In addition that most of the bolts were still loose next to the "Liv Tempt" which we had ordered and received right away, it was perfectly finished and has a fantastic air fork and also totally meets its specifications.

The bike is great.
