Description
The Giant Toughroad SLR 1 is the beautiful (cross) hybrid bike which, with its front and rear carriers, is also very popular among holiday cyclists. Several colleagues at Mantel have mounted mudguards on it and use it as a commuter bike. The low weight makes this Toughroad fast and the wide tyres make the bike very comfortable and versatile. These are the unique ingredients that make the Toughroad SLR 1 so popular.
For he frame of the Toughroad SLR, Giant has opted for lightweight aluminium. The seat post and front fork are made of carbon for less weight and extra comfort. The carbon seatpost is even specially designed for extra vibration damping. The sitting position is slightly sporty. Sporty enough to enjoy cycling, but also comfortable enough to spend days on end in the saddle on a cycling holiday. You can also use the stem and spacers to adjust your sitting posture, to make it even more sporty or comfortable.
The wide tyres ensure this Toughroad is a real winner. These tyres roll light and comfortable on paved roads and give enough grip on dirt tracks.Together with the carriers, this makes for an ideal fast trekking bike.
