Description
Description
Elvedes disc brake pads are sintered brake pads that are suitable for Hayes disc brakes. The compound of sintered brake pads consists of resin mixed with metal particles, making them very hard and wear-resistant. This compound is therefore very hard and wear-resistant, and these brake pads are also very resistant to the high temperatures that can occur, particularly during long descents. The disadvantage is that these brake pads do not engage as quickly as organic or semi-metallic brake pads and make more noise when braking.
These brake pads are therefore very suitable if you cycle in very muddy conditions and have to brake a lot. This is especially the case on very muddy rides in hilly/mountainous terrain and downhill and enduro tracks.
Not suitable for all brake discs
These brake pads are not suitable for all brake discs. These pads can only be used on ground brake discs, as they consist of harder material. Pressed soft brake discs are only suitable for soft organic brake pads. These will wear out quickly when used with sintered or metal pads.

Note:
Manufacturers use different fits. So please pay attention if the shape of the brake pad in the picture corresponds to your current brake pad. If you do not know what shape you have, please scroll to the bottom of this page. There you will find a description of each brake pad for which type of brake it is suitable.
