You’re choosing the Cube Nuroad Race specifically for the 2x12 drivetrain. With the two front chainrings, it lets you benefit from small, subtle steps between gears, which is ideal if you often want to maintain your pace on longer, rolling stretches and are looking for the perfect cadence.

• Shimano GRX 2x12 drivetrain
This groupset has been specially designed for the toughest gravel rides. The rear derailleur festures an internal clutch - this system provides extra tension to the derailleur, ensuring the chain stays nice and tight and doesn’t rattle against the frame on bumpy trails.

• C:62 carbon front fork
Lightweight C:62 carbon absorbs impacts and vibrations from the road surface like no other. As a result, your hands and arms tire much less quickly, allowing you to maintain control for longer.

• Tubeless-ready wheels
Both the sturdy Newmen rims and the supple Kevlar Schwalbe tyres are ready for tubeless riding. With a tubeless setup and tubeless sealant in the tyres, you will ride more lightly, can ride with lower tyre pressure for more grip, and greatly reduce the risk of getting stranded with a flat tyre.

Compatible with:
• Mudguards, a rear rack, frame bags, and various bottle cages: Fit them in no time at all thanks to the clever mounting points in the frame and fork. Fitting wider tyres is also an option; the frame can accommodate tyres up to 45 mm wide, which are already fitted as standard.

Not compatible with:
• Riders with a high total weight. The maximum system weight is 130 kg, which means that you, your bike and all your luggage combined must not exceed this weight. In addition, the recommended maximum rider weight (yourself and your clothing) is 100 kg.

Not included / still needed or useful:
• Cyclo-cross or gravel pedals;
• Bottle cages and water bottles;
• Tubeless valves and sealant if you want to ride tubeless.

Assembling your new bike is something you can easily do yourself. If you opt for home delivery (available in the Netherlands and Belgium), we will deliver it largely ready to ride in a sturdy box. All you need to do is fit your own pedals (to be ordered separately). As there is a left and a right pedal, it is important to screw them into the crank arm correctly, taking care to match the thread (the left pedal has a left-hand thread).

• Are you heading straight for the off-road trails? Make sure your tyres are tubeless before your first ride! Otherwise, a sharp stone may spoil the fun and make you change your inner tube on the roadside. As part of the tubeless installation process, insert a good gulp of sealant into the tyres and you are ready to hit the trails with peace of mind.
• Keep your drivetrain clean after rides in wet conditions. Rinse your bike thoroughly and use chain wax or lube to keep the Shimano GRX groupset running smoothly and quietly. This will make your chain and sprockets last much longer.

Before your visit, check if your frame size is in stock at the store of your choice – during a test ride, you will immediately feel whether this gravel bike suits you, and our expert staff will help you with the correct settings.

Are pedals included with the Cube Nuroad Race gravel bike?
No, pedals are not included as standard with this bike. As the choice between a clipless system, such as Shimano SPD, or flat pedals is a very personal one, you will need to choose and order your favourite pedals separately.

What is the difference between the Cube Nuroad Race and the Cube Nuroad EX gravel bikes?
The main difference between these two versions lies in the drivetrain and the intended use: While the Cube Nuroad Race has a 2x12 geometry aimed at speed and use on asphalt / light gravel, the Cube Nuroad EX has a 1x12 geometry aimed at simplicity and off-road use.
