Pros & Cons
Pros & Cons
- The Endurance Evolution fabric effectively supports your muscles and helps reduce fatigue, which is an advantage for longer distances.
- The mesh bib straps and back panel improve ventilation and help to prevent overheating on high-intensity rides.
- The anatomic cut makes for a cycling-specific fit that increases your freedom of movement.
- GIRO3 grippers in the cuffs keep the legs in place and prevent them moving or causing irritation while cycling.
- With a focus on comfort and ventilation, the bib short is less aerodynamically optimised.
- The bib short does not include any pockets, which may limit practical storage options but contributes to its low weight and tight fit.

The Endurance Evolution fabric offers optimal muscle support and feels soft on the skin. The fabric effectively wicks away moisture and keeps your body comfortable on rides in temperatures ranging from 15 to 35 degrees Celsius. The Progetto X2 Air Seamless chamois is integrated for long-lasting comfort and improved air circulation. Seams around the hips follow the short's ergonomic, cycling-ready shape to support your movements without restricting the fit. With a tailored fit, the bib short sits closely on your body without being too tight and stays well in place with every pedal stroke.
Finishes and details
The Endurance 4 bib short features mesh bib straps and a mesh back panel that promote air circulation and dissipate heat on high-intensity rides. GIRO3 grippers lie flat against your legs for a secure fit without sliding. The finish focuses on durability and practicality, keeping the shorts lightweight (193g) and comfortable throughout every long ride. Every detail supports a consistent and reliable ride.

Nice trousers, but they’re quite small
A lovely bodysuit that’s well made. It does run quite small, though, and the bib straps are very short. I had to order two sizes larger than usual, purely because of the short bib straps.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
A top-quality product that lasts a long time, and another super-fast delivery from Mantel.
I’ve gone for the Endurance again, mainly because of the cuffs on the trouser legs. I had the Espresso for a while, but that one doesn’t have stretch cuffs on the legs – just silicone strips that are supposed to keep the trouser legs in place. It works fine in itself, but after repeated washing and cycling in direct sunlight, the silicone strips all come loose and the trousers end up riding up… I think Castelli is a good brand, but I did once have a pair of winter trousers that were delivered with poorly stitched seams. These things can happen, but it’s worth keeping an eye out for them. It’s also great that Mantel’s customer service team are super friendly and knowledgeable if you have any questions.
