Description

Description

The Cannondale Scalpel HT Carbon 3 is not only very fast, but it is also comfortable. And with the advanced geometry, it also handles well. If you want to make as few concessions as possible, then this is the bike you need.

Progressive carbon frame
The heart of the brand new Cannondale Scalpel HT Carbon 3 is the beautiful carbon frame. Thanks to the progressive geometry, the handling characteristics are at a very high level. The lazy head angle makes it feel very stable on technical courses, but it also steers very precisely. Due to the rigidity of the frame, the Scalpel HT Carbon is not only very fast, but also comfortable thanks to the special flex zones in the chainstay.

Great front fork
The Cannondale Scalpel HT carbon 3 has a high-quality front fork with the Rockshox SID Select+ with 100mm of travel. It is light and maintains control over obstacles and unevenness.

Excellent final assembly
The Cannondale Scalpel HT Carbon 3 may not have the most appealing parts from the Shimano stable, but the SLX / XT setup shifts quickly, precisely and reliably. With the 10-51 12-speed cassette in combination with the 34-tooth crankset you can always find the right gear.
The brakes are Shimano Deore. They provide sufficient stopping power and can be eaily modulated, although a 160mm brake disc is on the lean side for this fast hardtail.

Decent parts
For the rest, this Scalpel HT Carbon 3 is equipped with excellent parts that go well with the rest of the bike. Light Crest MK4 rims, light aluminum handlebar and stem, carbon seatpost and very good Schwalbe Racing tyres. The tyres have very low rolling resistance but offer a surprising amount of grip, as long as it's not super muddy.

Cannondale Wheel sensor
The Cannondale has another special feature, and that is an integrated wheel sensor that provides accurate data on speed, route and distance. You can connect this to your bike computer or smartphone via blue-tooth. It registers your bike, indicates service intervals and other things via the free Cannondale app.

All this makes the Cannondale Scalpel HT Carbon 3 super fast and a very nice mountain bike.

Technology

Proportional Response Geometry
The rider position is perfectly centred for optimal handling and grip.
Lazy head angle
The lazy 66.5-degree head tube angle gives a lot of stability and confidence on steep descents and at high speed.
Flex zones
The flex zones in the chainstay, together with the low seatstay, absorb the biggest impacts for more control and comfort.

Compatibility

Cannondale Wheel sensor
The integrated wheel sensor provides accurate speed, route and distance data. The system reminds you of maintenance dates and other things via the free Cannondale app.
