High quality aluminum frame with cutting edge geometry
The core of the BMC Twostroke AL Four is its lightweight aluminum frame with the same angles as its carbon counterpart. With a 67-degree headtube angle that is exceptional for a hardtail and the steep 75-degree saddle angle, technical courses become even more fun to ride; on climbs and drops. Together with the short stem and wide handlebars, you maintain full control on tricky descents and twisty sections. The Suntour XCM fork provides extra control.
Comfortable
Besides being stiff and efficient for crunching uphill, the Twostroke AL Four is also quite comfortable for an aluminum hardtail. This is achieved with its low frame. As a result, some flex is present from the seatpost tube, making the Twostroke feel a lot more comfortable than most aluminum hardtails.
Decent assembly
BMC has chosen to deliver the Twostroke AL Four with the well-chosen Sram SX groupset. With a very wide range, due to the 11-50 cassette, it is possible to ride light enough during a steep climb and run a large gear at high speed. The XCD rims are connected via 32 spokes to reliable Shimano hubs. This makes the wheels sturdy and reliable. Thanks to the 23mm wide rims, the overall weight is not too high for a wheelset in this class. The Maxxis Rekon Race work well with the rims and offer an excellent mix of low rolling resistance and grip.
