Onderhoud van schakelonderdelen en remmen
We raden aan om de ketting en derailleur geregeld schoon te maken, voor optimale levensduur en efficiëntie. De hydraulisch schijfremmen raden we aan om zo min mogelijk schoon te maken, omdat vervuiling met vet en schoonmaakmiddelen nadelig kan zijn voor de remeigenschappen. Indien je de remschijven schoon wilt maken, raden we dit aan om te doen met een droog velletje keukenpapier. Probeer de remschijven hierbij niet met je vingers aan te raken.

Bandenspanning
Het hebben van de juiste bandenspanning is belangrijk. Het hebben van een verkeerde bandenspanning kan leiden tot lekke banden, hogere slijtage, beschadiging van de velg bij lage spanning en oncomfortabel rijgedrag. Bij de meeste hybride fietsen is de bandendruk ongeveer 3,5 tot 6 bar. Op de zijkant van je band kun je altijd zien wat de druk van jouw fietsbanden moet zijn.

Algemene tip bij onderhoud
Veel onderhoud is goed zelf uit te voeren, maar het is verstandig om de fietsenmaker ernaar te laten kijken.
