The AXA Classic Battery headlight is a LED light with a retro design. The AXA Classic headlight has a light output of 4 lux. This amounts to 15 metres visibility and up to 1000 metres distance visibility for oncoming traffic. This lamp is ideal for retro and granny bikes. It is easy to use thanks to the practical push button on top and batteries are easy to change. The necessary 3 x AAA batteries are included.

Je monteert de AXA Classic zelf, er zijn geen kabels nodig. Richt de lamp na het monteren iets naar beneden op de weg, zodat je tegenliggers niet verblindt.
- Neem reservebatterijen mee in je tas als je vaak in het donker fietst. Zo hoef je nooit zonder licht naar huis.
- Haal de batterijen eruit als je fiets een paar maanden stilstaat. Zo voorkom je dat ze gaan lekken.
- Zet de lamp uit als je je fiets parkeert. Hij gaat niet automatisch uit.
Hoe lang gaan de batterijen van de AXA Classic koplamp mee?
De AXA Classic koplamp brandt tot 50 uur op 3 AAA-batterijen. Fiets je elke werkdag een half uur in het donker, dan doe je er ongeveer 20 weken mee. De batterijen zitten er al bij.
Is 4 lux genoeg licht?
Met 4 lux verlicht de AXA Classic koplamp ongeveer 15 meter voor je, genoeg om in de stad en op verlichte wegen goed gezien te worden. Op onverlichte fietspaden of landweggetjes zie je er te weinig mee. Kies dan een koplamp met meer lux.

Nee, de AXA Classic koplamp heeft geen StVZO-keurmerk, dus in Duitsland mag je hem niet als koplamp gebruiken op de openbare weg. Fiets je in Duitsland, kies dan een koplamp met StVZO-keurmerk.

Mantel could have mentioned (clearly) that it does not come with a mounting bracket for on the bike. I am now stuck with a lamp I cannot mount anywhere.
