Description
Designed for maximum efficiency and comfort when cycling
The 612 Ergowave Active S-Tube saddle is designed with road cycling in mind. The 612 features a flat and narrow MaxContact® saddle nose, which gives you plenty of room to move in aerodynamic positions. In addition, the 612 has relatively firm padding for optimal power transfer. Ideal for higher speeds on the road!
Technology
Ergowave designThe Ergowave design of the SQlab saddles looks a bit like a wave. The raised back section provides great support and optimal pressure distribution during cycling, which in turn leads to a more comfortable ride and better power transfer. The front of the saddle is lowered so that the front of your body does not touch the saddle. Combined with the recess in the middle of the saddle, this shape ensures that you will not get pain in your sensitive areas, even when cycling in an aerodynamic position!
Active technology
SQlab's Active technology consists of an exchangeable elastomer in the back section of the saddle. This elastomer allows the SQlab saddle to follow your natural cycling movement; your lower vertebrae are mobilised, and the pressure on your seat bones is reduced. This movement causes the muscles and vertebrae to be used during cycling, reducing the risk of pain developing in the lower back. This makes SQlab saddles with Active technology very comfortable.

The most comfortable saddle I've ever had
The shape is simple yet sophisticated, and for me, who can't stand grooves in saddles, this one is perfect. It relieves pressure on the soft tissues and the ischiums are very well supported. What's more, you can sit on the front without any pain.

Good saddle when you have pain in 'your private area'
Distance seat bones measured. This was 11 cm so ordered a 130. Later swapped for the 140 and active. Sits perfectly now! No pain where it shouldn't be.

Top saddle for high comfort over longer periods
I have owned this saddle for 3 weeks now and have ridden 350 km with it. It does require some adjustment as the sitting position of this saddle is 0.5 to 1 cm higher than a regular saddle and the manufacturer also advises to position the saddle slightly more to the front. Meanwhile, with every ride it feels better, so you have to give the saddle some time to get used to. However, a measurement of the sit bones beforehand is recommended in order to order the correct saddle width. I have yet to test the active technology with the adjustment of the dampers, for the time being I ride with the average damping.
