The highly airtight Schwalbe AV17 inner tubes are an ideal choice for city bikes, electric bikes and touring bikes. The AV17 contains a 40 mm long Schrader valve and is suitable for 28 inch wheels and tyre widths between 28 and 47 mm. Furthermore, it is also possible to mount the Schwalbe AV17 on a 27 inch wheel.

Not the cheapest but this one has thread along the full length of the valve which allows you to secure it (with the supplied nut) to the rim. On cheaper inner tubes, there is only thread for the cap and the rest of the valve is covered with rubber, so you can't screw it onto the rim which causes a problem when inflating (you push the valve into the rim). Worth its extra price for that alone

Good inner tube with long life

After doing 8.5 years with the previous tires, put the same tube and tire combo back on the bike. No flat in all those years. This time I only chose the car tire valve because then I can use my own compressor with car pump to pressurize them properly. The pressure gauge shows the pressure well, which is impossible to do with an ordinary bike valve.
