Satisfied with the product. Fits my needs

- Joan, 13 September, 2022

Product that delivers what it promises, good performance on dry soil and asphalt, although it slips a lot on loose gravel, especially in curves.

Pros & Cons

Rolls very well on asphalt and hard soil
Does not grip well on sand and loose soil

Comfortable all-round gravel tyre with plenty of grip and comfort

- Tom, 12 March, 2021

Recently bought a set of these tyres for a Shimano 650b wheelset, the tyres are 47 mm wide. Fortunately, these tyres are also available in all-black, with the light sidewall from the 1970s they do not fit a modern gravel racer as far as I am concerned. Fitting is very easy and the tyres can be inflated with an ordinary pump. Naturally, tubeless tyres are fitted and it is noteworthy that some of the anti-puncture fluid initially sweats through the tyre sides. Only after more than two months did this stop in my case. However, from the first fitting with a pretty hefty amount of anti-puncture fluid, the tyres are well airtight. Riding is a pleasure, the width means you don't have to inflate the tyres very hard (with my 95 kg between 2 and 2.5 bar) resulting in a lot of comfort and the tyres roll very smoothly on both paved and unpaved roads, it feels like rolling resistance is minimal (comparable to Pirelli Cinturato gravel M, better than Schwalbe G-one and Vittoria Terreno mix). On dirt roads, the grip, even when a bit wetter, is unexpectedly good. The width of the tyre helps here, of course. You do notice in real blubber that the tread (only on the side a minimal row of studs) falls short but by then you are already far away from the surface this tyre is meant for. When steering on asphalt, it is noticeable that in a really sharp turn, the row of studs on the side do not give the most secure feeling, comparable to a studded tyre on asphalt. You certainly don't lack grip but you feel that the tyre is working and needs to set. This happens at speeds well above average and on steep inclines. All in all, a fine all-round tyre for a nice mix between road use and not too heavy off-road use with an overdose of comfort.

Pros & Cons

Also available in black
Easy assembly
Lots of grip
Rolls great on multiple surfaces
Very comfortable
Somewhat insecure feeling in corners due to studs
Sweat anti-leak liquid
