Hurdles

Overall great riding feel. I bought these because other wheelsets around this price range tend to have noisy hubs. These are lightweight (in comparison to my stock wheels). I don't notice any difference in crosswinds with the 50mm depth. Overall, very happy. Hub is very quiet and serviceable, slight compromise on weight.

My first experience on the Mantel website, nothing to say, fast delivery, product conforms to order, and very interesting price compared to the competition.

Rims ride tighter than my previous aluminium rims. Especially noticeable on descents. Apart from that, they just look really good. Modest rattle (noise clearance).

Wheels ride very pleasantly, almost no interference from crosswinds. Nicely finished with matt colour. For this price, you get a decent all-round wheelset.

I had to wait a few days to do the review and I must say that I could not have chosen a better wheel. I went from a 30mm to the 50mm Ultegra. The stiffness is really phenomenal and the smoothness of the bearings despite being ball bearings is really performing. The lightness also makes these wheels really competitive and snappy. The only defect is that Shimano does not give wheel bags and centrelocks to fix the brake discs.

Strong aero rims! One gets already when unpacking really Bock on the next tour. Featherweight and chic! Have opted for the 50mm, because of the lower wind susceptibility. Have the rims next to my old rims completely built with cassette, brake discs and tubeless tires! The old I take in bad weather or gffls. for graveln. I think new best times is no longer in the way
