Pros & Cons

Beautiful design
Light running
Protection against punctures
Difficult assembly see YouTube video

4 / 5

good location, difficult assembly

- Kevin, 2 September, 2022

The handling is superb, although I find a maximum pressure of 5 bar on the low side for a tire of only 30mm. The tire is not preformed, which makes mounting quite difficult. I managed it with the use of tire cutters, be careful not to pinch the tube.

Pros & Cons

good road holding
light
difficult mounting
max. tire pressure only 5 bar

Perfect winter tyre for racing bikes

- Michiel, 23 February, 2022

Perfect winter tyres for racing bikes! Even when dry, they are ideal for light gravel roads. I definitely recommend the 30mm.

Pros & Cons

Beautiful appearance
Great grip in rain and on light gravel
With the right spoons, they are easy to fit

- Mat, 5 September, 2021

Mounting idd difficult. I first put them in a hot bath. Then dry them well and with a lot of talcum powder and a pair of strong hands, it works.

Pros & Cons

Comfortable but fast
Nice
Smooth
Mounting needs some extra attention

Lovely fast tyre that looks nice and retro , initial fitting can be a challenge though.

- Bart, 30 June, 2021

Not the easiest tyre to fit but it rides great, feels firm with low rolling resistance when combined with Challenge's latex inner tubes.

Pros & Cons

extra reinforcement on the inside of the tread
low rolling resistance for a tyre of this width
Initial mounting of the tyre is not the easiest

Good tyre, once on the rim

- Tom, 6 February, 2021

Getting this tyre on a rim is a real ordeal. Surprising considering that cyclocross tyres of the same brand go very easily on the (same) rim... Once fitted, I think it is a good tyre: good grip in corners and wet weather, rolling resistance is not too bad. The tread is pretty stiff so I am confident it will not puncture easily. The tyre says max 5 bar, but I ride with 6 and that goes without a problem. Lost 2 points because of the near heart attack when mounting, otherwise I would give it a 9.

Pros & Cons

Comfort
Good grip
Puncture resistance

very good

- PATRICK, 16 January, 2021

many people mount the tyre incorrectly the inner tube should be inflated slightly ;; and then it should be placed in the rim; then start on the other side of valve ;; finishing on valve closure

Pros & Cons

rolls well
on rolls not good because rubber is too soft

Good, beautiful , super band

- Jan, 20 December, 2020

When you put it on, it's a bit tricky, the first time you don't know what's happening, it's so much nicer. I put it on in winter at 5 bar and if I want to go for a bit through the dry forest or a shell path, no problem, also much better grip on the concrete cycle paths are now all leaves. Also in the villages here there are all bricks are if it rains a bit Slippery but no problem.

Pros & Cons

Comfort
Fits road bike 30 mm
Retro look
