The Oakley Encoder Prizm Sapphire has a functional sports design, which results in several benefits. It provides optimum coverage, a wider field of vision, grip and impact protection. Those are all qualities that come in handy when playing a variety of sports.
Defining lens design
Frameless cycling glasses often offer an advantage in terms of field of vision and weight. However, they are also often more flexible and fragile. Oakley Encoder sports glasses address these issues with a new lens design. The upper edge and the nose area of the lens are thicker, which gives a more three-dimensional profile and more stiffness. This gives you the benefits of frameless sports glasses while are being very robust.
Comfortable while wearing a helmet or a cap
The legs of the Oakley Encoder Prizm Sapphire are made from O Matter material and have a low profile. This allows you to wear these goggles with a helmet or cap on your head.
Non-slip grip
The nose piece and ends of the arms are made of Unobtainium. This material guarantees excellent comfort and very good grip. Even when sweating intensively, this is the case. The chance of these goggles slipping off your face is therefore very small.
Prizm Road lens
These Oakley Encoder cycling goggles are equipped with the Prizm Road lens. This is Oakley's all-round lens and has a light transmission of 20%. This makes it ideal for both sunny daylight and shady conditions. The Prizm lens technology cancels out all the colours you don't want to see. This makes dull colours 'warmer', resulting in improved contrast. It makes it easier to distinguish colours from each other and to see objects on the road. Through this colour enhancement, the Oakley Encoder Prizm Road also provides a nice relaxing experience for your eyes.

Fine glasses of good quality
Bought to replace my Oakley M2 FRAME XL with Prizm Lens. It was now 7 years old and needed replacing after intensive use. I chose it mainly because the nose piece and the temples feature Unobtainium and because of the Prizm lens. Both materials were also on my previous glasses. By using these materials, the wearing comfort of the glasses is top notch and they do not slide on your head. The nose wing is quite large and that takes some getting used to. Especially the first ride. By now, I've ridden with them a few times and don't notice it at all. As I normally wear reading glasses, I stuck a pair of adhesive lenses (made in China) inside so I don't have to buy expensive cycling glasses. Another plus is that it comes with a sturdy case to protect the glasses properly.

Very fast glasses, with and lens that is perfect for all weather conditions
Very nice glasses that fit my head well. I use them when cycling and when running. Not once did I feel that my glasses would slide off my nose. The nose pads are on the large side and take some getting used to. After a few minutes, you are no longer aware of it. And, of course, it's just a sick frame.

Very nice glasses! You don't actually notice you have them on....
Very nice glasses! You don't actually notice you have them on.... Glasses are not too dark. Only downside are the connection points of the arms that are just in the corner of your field of vision. Already got used to it, so no real problem.
