Pros & Cons

Pros & Cons

  • This headlight has plenty of power to illuminate unlit cycle paths and roads outside builtup areas.
  • It can be mounted on top of or underneath your handlebars to create more space for your bike computer.
  • The 6 modes are easy to select with the single button on top of the lamp, which is also easy to operate with gloves on.
  • The lamp charges in 3.5 hours via USB; if you use it for your commute, you can charge it while you're at work.
  • The aluminium head dissipates heat quickly for optimal performance.
  • The light output is considered to be insufficient for use in the forest. For rides in the forest you need at least 1000 lumens.

The light can be attached either above or below the handlebars with the elastic strap. If you'd rather mount it on your helmet, you can do so with the optionally available BLS-70 helmet mount, which also uses the TightFix system. The BBB Cycling NanoStrike 600 BLS-161 headlight comes with a micro USB-cable for easy charging. In 3.5 hours the light is fully charged and ready to be used.

Good quality, also suitable for dark roads

- G. 1 December 2023

Nice compact front light, solidly built, good rubber strap. Can also be mounted upside down with switch underneath (handy for e.g. under a bike crate). Plenty of light modes, bright enough for dark roads.

4 / 5

Very practical and bright headlight, but should be cheaper.

- Wino 14 September 2023

The lamp was very easy to attach or move. Because of the rubber strap, it fits on any handlebar. When testing the light in my living room, everything was very brightly lit, er nice when cycling at high speed. Maybe I am a bit old-fashioned, but a light for a bike should be possible for 15 to 20 euros, in my opinion. This was one of the cheaper lights and already cost over 40 euros. That did shock me.

Pros & Cons

Always fits
Simple fixing
Very bright light
Quite expensive for a light
