This tyre has been treated with a specialised Neoprene silica coating. This means a 0.1 mm thick silica coating has been placed around the tyre, extending its lifespan and preventing mud and dirt from being absorbed by the tyre. That means mud and dirt won't accumulate in and around your tyre, keeping it in top condition.
A cotton carcass
Dugast means suppleness. The cotton carcass is the leader in terms of grip and rolling resistances. For years, you could only experience this by riding with tubes, but due to tubeless tyres that's a thing of the past!

Top tyres - difficult initial fitting
In terms of riding characteristics, this is a very good tyre that can also be ridden at very low pressure. Fitting is very difficult and requires patience and time. It is important to mount the tyre for the first time with very low pressure - if the pressure is too high, it blisters which cannot be reversed - but of course you can still ride it. If it has been standing for 12 hours with milk, you can increase the pressure.

Not puncture-proof
Totally not puncture resistant. Ridden 2x with it and outer tyre completely ripped.
