The Super Ground carcass is a clever solution for puncture protection and flexibility. Its combination of rubber compound and carcass makes for an all-round cross-country front tyre that allows you to corner quickly and precisely. The Racing Ray performs best when combined with the Racing Ralph as a rear tyre.
Addix SpeedGrip
A light blue stripe across the tyre means it is equipped with the Addix SpeedGrip rubber compound. This universal compound is the most versatile compound by far and can be used in disciplines such as XC, All Mountain and Trail. The Addix SpeedGrip has a long lifespan when used intensively, while also providing a lot of grip and speed. Although it may be impossible to find a perfect tyre that ticks every imaginable box, with the Addix SpeedGrip, Schwalbe comes very close indeed!
Consider a combination of the Addix SpeedGrip as a front tyre and an Addix Speed compound on the rear tyre for great grip, precision and speed!
Super Ground
With the Super Ground carcass, Schwalbe has further improved the SnakeSkin construction. This lightweight and flexible carcass has a SnakeSkin layer from bead to bead which offers full protection against cuts and punctures and keeps the weight down. The ultramodern Super Ground can therefore be used in many different disciplines, from XC to All Mountain. The Super Ground is the ultimate carcass for a combination of low weight, suppleness and puncture protection. So you'll have nothing to worry about when you're racing along the fastest trails.
Tubeless Easy
Schwalbe are firmly convinced that tubeless riding is the tyre technology of the future. And so they ensure that all mountain bike tyres bearing the TLE mark are optimised for riding without inner tubes. The construction of the carcass also makes the fitting process easier.

Good and fine tyre, indestructible.
Replacing the racing Ralph as the rear tyre on my hardtail mtb. Feel like I have more control with the Ray. Had to play around with the amount of bar/psi. Why; commuting during the week and plusminus 20-40km trails at the weekend. Perfect tyre for both situations and everything in between.

top tyre and easy on the rim good grip

Good choice for replacement standard tires
The racing ray gives great confidence on singletracks, but on loose (blowing) sand the tire has too much grip so it doesn't "float
