Looks sleek, sleeker than the previous one.
I ordered this helmet because me previous Z1 needed replacing and was competitively priced here at the time.

Great product
So far this product has been great. Great fit and it is extremly light which is noticable on long rides
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
After long comparing features and fitting, this turned out to be the best choice for me.
The helmet fits great, even better than my Giro van (expensive model, bought 8 years ago), but that's personal. Never buy a helmet online that you haven't tried on in shop first. The helmet is light and ventilates very well too.

Perfect helmet
I bought this helmet to replace my old Giro Aeon. The Z1 is less than 30 grams heavier, but with Kineticore it offers better fall protection. During the week of Easter, I wore the helmet for six days for 4-5 hours a day during a cycling tour South Holland. You hardly notice wearing the helmet. Not only because of its low weight, but also because the helmet never gets in the way. Not even when you dismount.

Nice, fits well, less wearing of cap under helmet due to placement of glasses in cooling slots
Ordered two sizes, with 10 months manufacturing difference between the two. Size M out 10/2024. Size S from 11/2023. With a recommendation to replace the helmet every 5 years, I only have 3.5 years to go with the size S as it fits best. That's a bummer for 169,- though the price seemed keen. I'm still hesitating to score a fresher one somewhere. Adjustment mechanism, I read, would take some getting used to compared to boa/swivel button. However, this came naturally and works fine. Yes he you have to push a little harder with your finger on the end to tighten properly. When inserting the goggles into the helmet's intended cooling slots, the goggle legs are not pre-focused so well that they follow their path neatly along your head. The legs are held in a bit tightly. That pushing apart of the legs is something your head mainly still has to do, so the goggle legs poke into your head first and with some pushing through, they then follow their path along your skull. If you then wear a cap underneath, you thus poke the paws too much into the fabric of the cap, which the paws also bite into. They don't continue their way past your skull because they get stuck in the fabric. So wearing a cap means no glasses on the head in the helmet. My too-old protone has managed that a lot better, though.
