Fulcrum Racing 4 Cykelhjul Racer

The Fulcrum Racing 4 wheels have a great design and the internal rim width of 17 mm makes these wheels suitable for wider tires from 25 mm. The Fulcrum Racing Quattro wheel set has been one of the most reliable wheels on the market for many years. The 35 mm half-high rims and shorter straight pull spokes makes this wheel set stiffer compared to a wheel set with lower rims.

This will ensure a lower chance of spoke breakage or blows in the wheels. The hubs are also equipped with maintenance-free industrial bearings which last a long time until they have to be completely replaced for an affordable amount. All this ensures that the Fulcrum Racing 4 is a very popular wheel set!

Industrial Bearings
These wheels are equipped with industrial bearings. The advantage is that they require virtually no maintenance, but when they are worn out, the entire bearing must be replaced. There is more friction when driving in different angles compared to a cup-cone bearing. Over time this may cause play and this cannot be adjusted.

RIM DYNAMIC BALANCE
The concept is simple and elegant: Balancing the wheel with an added weight exactly opposite of the valve.

ANTI-ROTATION SYSTEM
This new system takes wheel spokes to a higher level. The Fulcrum engineers have adjusted the spokes and hub to create an even stiffer structure. The result is that the spokes: Never lose their lateral stiffness, so they always stay fully centered. Maintain the tested position from the wind tunnel while riding, for maximum aerodynamic retention.

- Cassette remover Shimano or Campagnolo
- (possibly a torque wrench)

Installing a cassette on a wheel is easy if you have the right tools. If you purchase a cassette remover with a Shimano fit, you will be able to mount either a Shimano or Sram cassette on your rear wheel. Please note! For a Campagnolo cassette you need the Campagnolo tool. If you have a Shimano 9/10-speed cassette, first slide the spacer over the body. Then you place the cassette on the body. This can only be done in one way because of the fit of the body. Finally you turn the washer straight on by hand and tighten it with the cassette tool. Cassettes aren’t easily overtightened, but if you want you can use a torque wrench for this.

• Pay attention to the direction of travel when mounting your tyres
• For Shimano 9/10-speed, do not forget to mount the spacer first before installing the cassette
• Make sure the rim tape is stuck well in the rim
• On both the front and rear wheel, there is a small adjustment screw on the left-hand side to adjust the side play
