The cables run through the frame, where they are well protected from rain and dirt, saving you a lot of maintenance work. The geometry of the bike focuses on comfort throughout every ride, long or short. Plus, the frame and saddle were designed for women specifically. In addition, Scott has selected a carbon fork for this Contessa, which absorbs vibrations and shocks from the road surface effectively.

For gear shifting, the Contessa Addict 25 has Shimano's 105 group, whose shifting performance is almost up there with Shimano's Ultegra group; the 105 group is just slightly heavier though. With 22 gears and an 11-34 cassette, the Contessa provides a wide range to allow you to go faster and easier than your cycling friends when climbing in the mountains. On the descents, you can rely on the Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, which deliver powerful braking performance in good as well as bad conditions. These disc brakes are also easy to modulate, allowing you to take every corner with confidence.
