Top performance but very fragile

- Oursbrun, 13 April, 2025

I've been using them for more than 9 months, and I'm still happy with their performance, but I've already had four or five punctures. Fortunately, the preventive fluid was there to help out, so for me, the tyre must be used in tubless conditions, which is a not insignificant drawback.

Fine tyre in use, but not so puncture resistance is disappointing.

- Maarten, 7 March, 2025

I immediately had these G-one RS fitted to my gravel bike, 40mm. In use, these were very good. But in the first 1000km, both tyres went flat several times. I fitted them tubeless. They went flat on the tread and, despite the holes being very small, they did not adhere sufficiently with Schwalbe's latex. I did get home with them, but they couldn't handle any more pressure. I will now try another set of 35mm. Those seem to me to do even better justice in the Netherlands.

Pros & Cons

Fast on asphalt
Sneak and sufficient traction on forest trails and gravel
Quick punctures

Beautiful and functional gravel tyre

- Wim, 20 November, 2024

Nice tyre with excellent tread for (far) hard paths. The tread on the sidewalls makes it nicely through corners. Getting it right on the rim was not so easy. By rubbing the rim well with soapsuds, I managed to get it on eventually.

Pros & Cons

Flat tread
Low rolling resistance
Nice to see
Smooth tyre
Sufficient side grip
Difficult to fit on rim

Perfect tyres for commuting on gravel bikes with a lot of tarmac

- Michael, 29 October, 2024

Previously I had puncture-proof Schwalbe Marathon ALMOTION tyres on the gravel, mainly for commuting, which always felt sluggish. With the G-One RS, things are very different now, even more comfortable without a tube, very agile and fast, I'm thrilled.

Excellent, fast and easy tyre

- Hans, 16 September, 2024

How easy I put these on two G1800 rims! Before this, other tyres were always a hassle, but I put these fairly easily in the rim and with the hand pump immediately airtight to 6.5 bar. After filling with latex the next day, still 6.5 bar. The 85 km of gravel on the Veluwe also went fine. The hit on a stone (up to the rim) this tyre also came away well.

Pros & Cons

Easy assembly
Fast
Smooth

Fast but fragile

- Sylvain, 29 July, 2024

I rode this tyre for around 600km and already have multiple holes too big for the sealant to seal. Most of the tread is already gone. The tyre is fast to the point that it can be used for fast road rides.

Pros & Cons

Fast
Durability
Puncture ressistance

Best tyre I have tested so far.

- Jakob, 14 July, 2024

Perhaps the best grass tyre I have tested so far. Easy to mount and rolls fantastically well and cushions the surface in a brilliant way.

Comfortable and stable

- Niek, 25 June, 2024

Fitted with rimpact inserts. Super comfy at low pressure with lots of security and stability in the corners. So also nice for the occasional bit of mtb route. First fitting without sealant good on pressure. Later added silca and did not detect any perforation. Truly tubeless therefore.

Pros & Cons

Easy to assemble
Feels fast
Good pressure even without sealant
Wet trails good grip

Good buy if you are not driving in mud .

Very fast tyre, just right for me and my gravel bike.

- Ferdinand, 15 June, 2024

Rolls very well, at least as well as the previous Schwalbe pro one. I can't say to what extent tubeless is responsible for this. I'm very happy with this tyre, ridden about 300 km so far, a slight cut has already been sealed on the front tyre thanks to sealing milk, so it seems to be a little sensitive.

Fun, nimble, stylish tyre with plenty of grip.

- Robert, 21 May, 2024

I mounted the tyre on my cross bike rims (17 mm rim width) with a light tube. Fitting was a little difficult, but could be done without special tools. A dream tyre when cornering, braking, accelerating and on easy terrain. Significant improvement on my previous tyre (Pathfinder Pro). I would buy these tyres again at any time, despite the slightly higher price point. I can't say anything about puncture protection at the moment.

Fast semi-slick tyres for rolling, dry gravel. Their only drawback is their price, but Mantel offers exceptional value for money.

A very good ride on this really fast tyre

- Martin, 9 May, 2024

High quality tire, really good feelings

- Guilain, 2 May, 2024

This tyre delivers on its promises: fast on tarmac and very competent on gravel. By way of comparison, I'm switching from the 32mm 4-season continental to these 35mm schwalbe g-one RS. The schwalbes even seem slightly faster than the conti on bad tarmac. I think this is largely due to the flexibility of this tyre. In contrast, a 4-season conti has a reinforced tread and sidewalls. This makes the 4-season Conti virtually puncture-proof, but at the expense of rolling efficiency. That said, I've never had a puncture with a Schwalbe, even when riding wildly (road and gravel). For my use (70% fairly worn road, 30% gravel), this tyre is perfect. And the price offered by Mantel makes it a really good deal.

Good tubeless gravel tyres

- Johan, 7 March, 2024

Very happy with the two tyres I bought, to be installed in different places front and rear. Think they look good and roll well. Tubeless installation was easy and they hold air well, I installed it on a pair of Mavic allroad SL aluminium wheels.

Fine band

- Arno, 27 October, 2023

I have now driven 500 kilometres with it. The tyre does like what it says in description. I use this tyre in my rear wheel (35 mm), in front I use a tyre with a coarse profile. I use these tyres with an inner tube because I sometimes want to change the type of tyre due to the type of surface I ride on.

Top gravel tyre for dry conditions

- Tim, 12 July, 2023

Tubless mounting without problems. Very easy to get tight and still went well on the rim. Great tyre for forest, road and gravel. In wet and damp conditions it needs more tread. Rolls very well, also fun to ride on the road.

Good grip but unfortunately prone to punctures, simply too expensive.

- Nikolai, 8 July, 2023

I've had the G One RS on for a good two weeks now. Before that I had the Thunder Burt on them. From the first few metres, the G One were much quieter and the acceleration was better. I was also very positively surprised after the first few rides in the forest on gravel and sand. The grip is super, no trace of spinning or slipping, simply mega. With my old coats, it bothered me that they were very susceptible to punctures and the coats were simply worn out after a year because they had a lot of cuts, broken off studs, etc. This is precisely the point that I found annoying with the new coats. This is where I expected an improvement with the G One RS. Well, unfortunately it only took about 50km until I had the first hole here too. The milk sealed it, but when I inflated them the next day, the higher pressure caused the air to come out again. Very annoying with such incredibly expensive coats. So I'll use different ones next time.

Highly recommended

- Patrick, 3 March, 2023

Highly recommended, tubeless fitting is very smooth and easy. Quick and great grip. The next day I rode 100 km and on asphalt it really does what you expect of a semi-slick. In my opinion it looks very nice with the skin color and the 35mm width on the gravel bike. Despite the somewhat higher price I can't say anything bad about it for now.

Pros & Cons

Easy tubeless use
Fast and great grip

Fast gravel tires!

- Erik, 8 February, 2023

Not immediately clear how to put the profile on front and back. Had to look it up on Youtube. It also says to pump up to 4.5 bar, but then they are not in the rim properly. So put some more bar in before they pop. Experience on the road is that they ride great, speed, you go kilometers faster on average and that on a gravel bike!

Pros & Cons

Fast tire
Gotta love skinwall
Hopefully good puncture resistance as Schwalbe says
Tread present for cornering
Few experiences yet
Pricey
Watch carefully which direction you put the tires on.
