Robust, reliable factory-standard braking power

- Koen, 28 June, 2026

A. Fitted with an MT7 front brake with HC Storm 203 mm discs, combined with an MT7 rear brake (8.P pads – HC Storm 203 mm). B. Correct brake-in procedure: 30 times at 30+ km/h with all brakes fully applied. C. Used on: 1. Devinci Django Alloy (15 kg) + a. Bob Ibex (10 kg + 15 kg load): 10,000 km of short climbs over short distances b. Bob Ibex (10 kg + 25 kg load): 1,000 km and 5 cols with approx. 1,600 hm of descents => front brake pads completely worn out after approx. 11,000 km

Pros & Cons

agility
consistent braking power during long descents
stopping power
slightly shorter service life

Great brake pads with enough and easy to modulate braking power: highly recommended!

- S., 16 May, 2026

In the quest for more modulation compared to the 8.p, bought these brake pads. Braking power still more than enough present and seems better controllable due to less 'bite' than the 8.p. Cycled once in wet weather and the pads did make squeaking noise when braking.

Pros & Cons

Easy to fit
Good braking force
Good to modulate braking force
Noise in wet weather

Very great braking power. I use them on front brake MT7 with Storm 203mm disc brake rotor. Mountain bike with Bob Ibex trailer (load:20 kg) Splügenpass and Col d'Ispeguy.

Pros & Cons

Excellent metering
Great 'bite' power
Correct braking = must 30x30km/h
Wear slightly faster than 8P.
