Assos Mille GT C2

At the end of May, I decided to buy a new pair of assos cycling shorts. After 5 years and many kilometres, my current cycling shorts needed replacing. I knew immediately that I wanted assos cycling shorts again. The quality and comfort of my current assos trousers were perfect. The delivery was fast and problem-free, as I am used to from assos! So the first rides were as expected, perfect! But a few weeks later, the problem started. The fabric started to wear out, first along one leg and then along the other.... The assos helpdesk forwarded me to Mantel's helpdesk. Meanwhile, I've been waiting for a reply for 2 weeks....

I was recommended the Assos products from a friend, a bit more expensive but I had issues with previous Bibs on longer rides. The quality is superb, the suspenders well designed but most importantly the comfort is just stellar, truly stands to the people praising Assos for it. I am convinced that going a bit higher from the usual budget is well worth and especially if you can find Assos on sale, just go for it!

Great trousers. Maybe a bit more expensive but fits so much better than another brand. Fine chamois. Trousers themselves are also made of good material. Definitely give them a try if you do some longer tours!

Got a tip from a friend about these trousers. Cycled in the mountains for a week last week and more than liked the trousers. They do cost a bit, let's say a good dinner for two. I will gladly skip that one for something I will enjoy so much!

Fine trousers for long rides but I'm still more of a fan of a firmer chamois like e.g. black320 by Agu. This is just a thick piece of soft foam. But it works and stays in place very well. I do find the poor anti-slip a really big drawback. The pipes don't stay in place very well.

Tried several brands and trousers of different price ranges over the years but Assos really stands out. It's a wide, thick chamois. Unfortunately, I am 'blessed' with 'flat' buttocks so there is little flesh on them so I am quickly 'on the bone' to put it that way. In addition, I like rides of at least 3 hours up to 7 or 9 hours. Then a good chamois is really indispensable. And Assos' excels in that. Yes the price is a bit expensive, but then you really have something. Never anything else for me.

Have ordered from mantel a number of times, very smooth website, fast deliveries. Above all they have goods in stock! This is a very big plus. Will definitely order from Mantel in the future.

Done a few rides with them. The trousers fit super. Bib straps fit well. Chamois is great, even on longer rides. Assos is a bit more expensive, but worth the money.

I have been wearing cycling shorts from Assos for many cycling years. Buying them was a big expense for me each time, but the comfort and wearing time certainly make up for it.

Felt good at the premiere

Quality shorts, good fit and comfortable.

Lovely fitting trousers, but so slippery that while cycling you feel like you are sliding back and forth on the saddle. Also some chafing in the groin after a 90km ride, but that was the first somewhat longer ride of the year.

I bought these as an introduction to assos bib shorts as they receive great reviews , they are very supportive and comfortable, I'm still unsure about the movement in the pad , as it's only sewn at both ends but I have only worn them on 2 rides of about 90 minutes so might just need to get used to them

I have worn these a couple times now, and they just don't work for me. - Compared to some other brands, the pads on these are very thick and soft. I think of them sort of like a feather pillow: some people will love the squishiness and compressability , but after a little while you just sink straight through and end up with no support at all. Very uncomfortable for a 30+ minute ride, which isn't very long. I prefer a firmer, more supportive foam. - Another issue with the design of the pads is that the foam is very thick on the sit bones, but there is nothing but fabric in the middle. This means they end up folding straight up the middle (ie straight up your butt crack), giving you a huge wedgie. Very uncomfortable to walk around in and I kept having to pull them outwards while riding. - The more relaxed fit of these bibs means they grippers on the legs weren't as effective and they end up riding up. Not nice on a colder day as it leaves half your thighs exposed. The material is nice and they offer a more relaxed fit than other bibs, so I can see why others might like them on longer casual rides. But for me, they just don't work.

I have had the trousers for a while now and, looking back, I should have bought them a lot sooner, it really is a relief. But because I wasn't sure which size to buy, I went to the shop in Arnhem and was helped to find the right size. Really super happy with this purchase.

As I really liked these cycling shorts, I recently ordered the second one. Ideal for the long workouts (with than 3 hours), saves you a lot of pain on the seat.

Very happy to have bought these shorts, no redness from rubbing after 2 hours 30 minutes on the bike, which is not the case with other brand shorts that I use. I bought these shorts on special offer.

Only one ride but the chamois is clearly designed for long distances. You don't notice the saddle. We'll see if the thickness of the chamois doesn't generate some unexpected chafing. So far so good

Quite thick chamois but cycles comfortably. Ideal for Gran Fondo or older skin. Five stars if the price was a bit more 'normal'.

It is not THE best pair of cycling shorts I have used, but still amongst the best. The chamoise is a bit on the bulkier side which causes a bit of shafing. Everything except the chamoise is perfect. After a couple of rides I am kind of getting used to the chamoise. I prefer theese shorts over my Bioracer Icon team kit.

It is a cycling pant that fits your body perfectly and does not cram around the prostate. Perfect chamois that is sewn to the trousers at a few points which gives extra comfort. These trousers are also perfectly designed for a pit stop on the road.

I have now cycled around 1000km with these trousers. I highly recommend the thicker chamois if you don't want to go full-on. Holds up well on longer tours (> 4 hours). Dries less quickly than the thinner chamois

The trousers fit like a glove. Although not a top-of-the-range pant, the quality is very decent. You can tell from everything that the trousers are good. It fits well, the seams are firm and the chamois is comfortable.

Assos is a solid brand. Slightly more expensive, but me a good value for money: the fit is good and the pants last a long time (I base that on my years of experience with the Assos Neo-pro and a Mille GT)

This is my first experience with Assos pants, and I am really very excited. Where before I always chose other brands because I found Assos a bit too pricey, I can now say that the price is really worth it with these pants. The suspenders are very nice, the fit is perfect and the chamois is very comfortable even after 5 hours of cycling. I notice that I currently prefer to take these Assos pants out of the closet and leave my Sportful, Castelli and Bioracer pants.

Good quality cycling pants, cycles very nicely. Chamois has a cutout in the middle and is removable. Leg pieces have remarkably little rubber for anti-slip, but stay put well.

Compared to the previous Mille GT model that I still have, this Mille GT C2 takes a leap in comfort. Tested in race of about 4 hours, no discomfort present, no discomfort on arrival or during the race. High quality material.

My first Assos product, and wasn't disappointed; amazing comfort and support over a hilly 200km Audax, especially for such a light summer weight garment. Looking forward to years of enjoyment, anticipating durability and excellent washability, very well worth the money considering the performance alone. Plus it's not fast fashion, short life, and therefore better environmentally than less durable brands.

I really like the pants. Made longer rides on them +5 hours. Stays on well and comfortable. The suspenders are comfortable. The chamois is like plush and stays firm.

Very comfortable shorts, does not impede in the movements of the thighs and especially the band at the end of the thigh does not tighten. The pad is a confirmation of ASSOS. I have tried various brands but none have a similar pad. I still recommend using ASSOS cream to avoid chafing if you do many hours in the saddle. For size I am 178 cm and weigh 78 kg, long leg and not "big"; I bought an L and it is perfect.
