Oakley Radar EV XS Prizm Field Cycling Glasses

The Oakley Radar EV XS represent a milestone in the development of cycling glasses for children, and men and women with narrower faces. They are a smaller version of the Oakley Radar EV (Extended View) and, just like their bigger brother, they are the upgraded successor of the legendary Oakley Radars. After many years of research and development working with the world's best athletes, it became apparent that the rider was not looking entirely through the lens, but that their field of vision was partially obscured by the frame. So Oakley set to work developing a larger lens which provides a better, larger field of vision. Surge ports were also added to maintain a cooling air flow. The light-weight but exceptionally durable frame is made from Oakley's unique O-matter material. This, in combination with the HDO and Plutonite lense material, provides the best protection for your eyes. Most importantly, Oakley Radar EV XS cycling glasses are specifically designed for people with smaller faces and/or children. Fit & Protection

A good fit means better results and protection. The combination of the flexible durable O-Matter material with the Plutonite lenses guarantee maximum protection under all conditions!

HDO

HDO stands for High Definition Optics, or the curvature of the lens. This curve ensures that the lens is always equal to the curve of the eye. This ensures that you always see sharply and never have a distorted image.

Field of View

Specially optimised lens for when cycling. The biggest challenge was to create a lens that has a certain size and shape without interruption so that you no longer have to look at the frame. This turned out to be quite tricky as cycling is a sport where you mainly have your head down but your eyes are facing forwards. With this lens, Oakley with 'FOV' guarantees you the widest possible field of vision without limitations or blind spots!

O-Matter

A stress-resistant frame material that withstands the most extreme conditions. This material is super lightweight but super durable. Controlled flexibility increases impact resistance and at the same time contributes to everyday wearing comfort.

Plutonite Lens Material

One of the most optically pure materials used in contemporary eyewear. The material provides maximum clarity of vision and is able to withstand almost any impact. The lens filters 100% of all UVA, UVB, UVC and harmful blue light rays up to 400 nm. There is no special coating on the lens, but the lens itself is protected against UV rays.

Impact Protection

Thanks to decades of innovation, Oakley performance glasses provide uncompromising protection against high speeds and very severe impacts. The protection is an advantage of the high quality materials and its unique design with the Oakley lens/frame combination.

Three-Point Fit

A patented innovation that ensures that the frame only makes contact with the nose bridge and side of the head. This system ensures that the lens is in precise optical alignment and has a fine fit that eliminates the pressure points of frames with earhooks.

Ventilation

Thanks to its special ''surge'' ports the air is directed along the lenses to prevent lens condensation. As a result, the Radar EV XS meets the ventilation requirements of its users.

Prizm lens

The special Prizm lenses provide an unprecedented regulated light transmission resulting in an improvement of colour contrasts and improved visibility of objects. Also, the Oakley Prizm lens has significantly reduced glare and adjusted light transmission thanks to the Iridium lens coating!
