Bike Finder
Plus, iPhone users can also use the Knog Scout's Bike Finder functionality, using it like an AirTag with the Apple "Find My" app. You'll always be able to see your bike's location, so you can always find your bike again.
Usage
The Knog Scout is fairly simple to use: simply turn it on when parking your bike, and turn it off when you start cycling again. You can turn the Scout on and off in multiple ways. Either use the button on the device itself, or use the free Knog iOS app when your iPhone is in Bluetooth range.
Mounting
Simply attach the Knog Scout to your bike's bottle cage mounting points. You can, for example, hide it underneath your bottle cage or install it instead of a bottle cage. You can also use the included neon silicone cover, which will make the Knog Scout stand out, in which case it could have a deterring effect.
The spanner necessary to install the Knog Scout (to loosen and tighten the bolts) is included.
Battery
Despite its low weight and compact size, the Knog Scout has a large battery capacity. You can use the Scout for six months without having to charge it. The Scout can be recharged using a USB-C cable (not included)
• Waterproofing: IP66
• Battery capacity: 6 months
• Charging time: 4 hours
• Size: 10.7x2.5x0.8 cm

Disappointing product with very poor software
Disappointing product. The app only works on iOS and even then the app is very buggy and unstable. The app often forgets my Scout for no reason, pairing with Apple "Find My" was very cumbersome (had to do a factory reset several times). The alarm also goes off way too fast, causing me to silence it. As soon as someone taps my bike in e.g. a bicycle shed, the alarm already goes off on its least sensitive setting. So you get a lot of "false positive" signals from "thieves" who ultimately turn out to be nothing.

For the price, I think it's good.
My experience with it was good, especially since it is integrated into the Apple Find My service, but its application is not that great.
Pros & Cons

Works as expected mainly as a deterrent and support good locks.
Received quickly and easy installation. Install under water bottle possible but bolts (with special key to (dis)assemble) may be too short in combination with other accessories (e.g. lock holder that also use water bottle location). Functions for sensitivity touch and set alarm tone useful. It is mainly a deterrent. Alarm on bike well audible, not very loud. To transmit alarm signal, your mobile does need to be within bluetooth range, which often means you can see your bike. Works as expected and glad I invested in this.

Great purchase and I now sit more comfortably on the terrace
Works with Apple's find my phone and does exactly what it is supposed to do.

That's ok.
Could be louder. The app hangs a little more often than I would like. I'm not very confident that the theft protection has been increased. If the thief comes, I hope he gets a brief fright and skips away.
