With the Alpha Doppio RoS, Castelli has set the bar very high. The jacket consists of a double layer where it is possible to unzip the first layer and keep the second closed. The outer layer provides protection from wind and rain. This layer is therefore easy to unzip, then the second layer becomes visible, which provides insulation. The outer layer is treated with the GORE-TEX Infinium WIndstopper treatment which makes the jacket completely windproof, this combined with a water-repellent layer over the fabric and waterproof seams ensure that this jacket can be used in almost all conditions. The inner layer is made of soft Polartec Alpha Direct. This fabric is soft to the touch and has fantastic insulating but also breathable properties.
In addition, the jacket has a tight but comfortable fit. The sleeve ends are designed to provide space for gloves and to prevent water and cold air from entering the jacket. Moreover, the jacket has four pockets, one of which can be closed with a zip. Finally, reflective details make you more visible to other road users.

Excellent purchase. I am going to enjoy this for years to come!
Pretty hesitant to buy this expensive jacket, but absolutely no regrets. With a short sleeve base layer it is warm enough even at 3 degrees. I previously wore Perfecto Ros with a thermo gilet in cold weather, but I like this jacket much better because of its high breathability. Very nicely finished, nice and soft inside. Handy zipped pocket on front. Not yet able to test it in the rain. My normal clothing size is M. With Castelli I often need 2 sizes larger. For this jacket, L fits perfectly (183 cm, 74kg).
