Perfect comfort
A logical mix of components on this electric bike provides plenty of comfort. A parallelogram suspension seatpost, a suspension fork and a stable frame with a wide step-through design; this is all you need to create a great, comfortable e-bike.

Bosch' motors and batteries have been synonymous with reliable performance and smooth support for many years. It comes as no surprise that Cannondale have chosen components from this brand for their Neo 2 electric city bike. Thus, you can ride the miles without worrying about reliability.

Frame, fork and wheels
The Cannondale Adventure Neo 2 EQ features a distinctive frame with a wide step-through design. This makes getting on and off the bike very easy. To ensure frame rigidity despite the in-tube battery, the down tube is extra thick. With the Smartform C3 technology, the thickness of the tube material varies. While some other brands have beautifully concealed welds, this Cannondale model does not. This has been a deliberate decision, as smoothing out the weld decreases its strength. Cannondale have clearly opted for handling over appearance. This philosophy which prioritises handling makes this e-bike very pleasant to ride.
If you are looking for a comfortable bike, the Adventure Neo 2 EQ is a great choice. The suspension fork has 63mm of travel, and the 55mm wide tyres will absorb all the bumps on your path. The most eye-catching element that increases comfort, however, is the seat post. This electric bike has a Cane Creek parallelogram suspension. The advantage over the well-known telescopic suspension is that this type of suspension moves in line with your vertebrae, which is much more comfortable and better for your body.
The wide tyres provide a pleasant and very stable ride feel. Another plus is the front wheel with a thru-axle, which is stiffer, creating a tighter feel of the steering.
The relatively short seat tube and long seat post make these bikes suitable for a wide range of body sizes. The length of the seat tube is used as the frame size, which explains why these are low. You should therefore check which frame size is appropriate for your height.

E-bike technology
This electric city bike is fitted with a Bosch Active Line Plus mid-motor. It delivers 50Nm, allowing you to conquer the countryside and gently sloping terrain with ease. It is connected with an integrated PowerTube battery with a 500Wh capacity. This combination provides a realistic range of approximately 100km on a single charge, in perfect conditions even up to 160km.

Shifting and braking
The hydraulic disc brakes on the Cannondale Adventure Neo 2 EQ ensure reliable braking performance. As well as having plenty of braking power, they are also easy to modulate. You can therefore enjoy reliable braking performance in any circumstances. The gear changing is done with the 9-speed Shimano Alivio rear derailleur, which provides a shifting range of 327%, slightly more than an 8-speed hub. As a derailleur gear does not have a completely closed chain case, it is slightly more prone to collecting dirt. Occasional cleaning is recommended.

Other parts
This e-bike is packed with small pluses, so too the frame. The integrated cable routing, for example, gives the bike a sleek look. The mounting points for bottle cages on either side of the steering head are unusual. And Cannondale has given this e-bike all the other components you may expect from this segment: Stylish mudguards, an ergonomic handlebar with fine grips, and a stable luggage carrier. However, while this bike is ready to mount a lock it doesn't come with one; if you want one you will have to buy it separately.

Maintenance of the battery
If possible, charge your battery at room temperature. If outside temperatures drop below zero, we recommend removing the battery and storing it inside.
Do not store the battery empty. If you plan not to use your e-bike for a longer period of time, we recommend storing the battery at room temperature around 60% full. Charge the battery occasionally (once a month) to ensure that it lasts as long as possible.

Maintenance of gear parts and brakes
We recommend a regular cleaning of the chain and derailleur for optimum durability and efficiency. As for the hydraulic disc brakes, we recommend cleaning those hardly ever, as contamination with grease and detergents may impair braking performance. If you do want to clean the brake discs, we recommend doing so with a dry paper towel. Try not to touch the discs with your fingers.

Tyre pressure
Having the right tyre pressure is important. The wrong tyre pressure may cause punctures, more wear, rim damage when the pressure is low, and uncomfortable handling. For most e-bikes, tyre pressure is between 3.5 and 6 bar. The recommended pressure for your tyres should be printed on their sidewall.

General maintenance tip
While you can do a lot of maintenance work yourself, it may be wise to have it checked by a bicycle mechanic.
