High-quality aluminium frame with contemporary geometry
The core of the BMC Twostroke AL Six is its lightweight aluminium frame with the same angles as its carbon counterpart. With a 67 degree headtube angle, which is exceptional for a hardtail, and the no less than 75 degree saddle angle, technical courses are even more fun to ride; you'll love flying up and down with it. Add the short stem and nice wide handlebars and you maintain full control on tricky descents and twisty sections. The Suntour XCM fork ensures control.
Comfort
Besides being stiff and efficient for racing uphill, the Twostroke AL Six is also pretty comfortable for an aluminium hardtail. This is due to the low frame, which allows for some flex from the seat post tube, making the Twostroke feel much more comfortable than most aluminium hardtails.
Reliable equipment
BMC has completed the Twostroke AL Five with sensibly chosen components. With a wide range thanks to the 11-42 cassette, it allows you to ride lightly on a steep climb and to run a large gear at high speed. To control all this speed, BMC has fitted easy-to-modulate Shimano brakes.
The XCD rims are connected, via 32 spokes, to reliable Shimano hubs, making the wheels sturdy and reliable. Thanks to the 23 mm wide rims, the overall weight is not too high for a wheelset in this class. The WTB Ranger tyres work well with the rims and provide a great mix of puncture protection and grip.
