The BMC Twostroke 01 Five is a great hardtail mountain bike with timeless looks. The beautifully designed frame is thus not only attractive, but also has great handling. With its advanced geometry, it lets you roll over the most technical mountain bike routes so you can enjoy your off-road adventure.
If you are looking for a fast and innovative hardtail mountain bike to blast up and down, the BMC Twostroke 01 Five is the perfect bike for you.
The core of the BMC Twostroke 01 Five is its exceptionally attractive carbon frame, and not just in terms of looks. With an exceptional 67-degree headtube angle for a hardtail and the steep 75-degree seat angle, technical courses become even more fun to ride; both up and down. At least if more fun stands for even faster. Together with the short stem and comfortably wide handlebars, you maintain full control on tricky descents and twisty trails. The excellent Rockshox Judy front fork ensures control and efficiency.
Comfort through flex
Besides being stiff and efficient for rock-hard uphill riding, the Twostroke 01 Five is also comfortable. The low frame means there is quite a lot of flex present from the D-shaped seatpost tube, making the Twostroke very comfortable for a hardtail. The frame's chainstays are shaped to provide a lot of vertical flex there too, without losing any pedalling efficiency. A clever piece of engineering from BMC.
Great equipment
BMC has chosen to deliver the Twostroke 01 Five with reliable Shimano Deore components. With a wide range, due to the 10-51 cassette, it is possible to ride light enough during a steep climb and to run a large gear at relatively high speed. To control all this speed, there are good-to-dose Shimano MT200 brakes to help you brake in time.
Low rolling resistance
The Twostroke 01 Five has a strong wheelset. It may not be the most lightweight of wheelsets, but it is very sturdy. Thanks to their 25mm inner width, the Vittoria Barzo tyres conform nicely to the rim. This in turn provides extra grip and the ability to ride with slightly lower tyre pressure for less rolling resistance.
