Lapierre Recall AIRCODE DRS/XELIUS SL3
Lapierre announces a recall for the Lapierre AIRCODE DRS/XELIUS SL3 Series. This means that as a consumer, you can visit your Lapierre dealer to have a new carbon fork installed free of charge.
What’s the issue?
Research has shown that some Lapierre bicycles have problems with their carbon forks. If the fork is damaged, this could potentially lead to cracking.
Which bicycles are affected?
Aircode DRS
Xelius SL3
- All bike models from MY21 (see list below)
- Some bikes from MY22 and MY23 (see list below)
Does your bike qualify?
Our customers whose bikes fall within the recall have received an email from us. If you would like to check whether your bike is eligible, please contact our customer service team.
This recall concerns bikes equipped with a Lapierre aluminium stem and an aluminium spacer (part no. 3):
Lapierre Xelius SL3 bicycles equipped with a Lapierre carbon cockpit are NOT affected by this recall.
What’s the solution?
To resolve the issue, we will replace the aluminum spacer with a new reinforced plastic one and install a new fork.
What You Need to Do
Contact our customer service team. The easiest way is via email, and please include the following:
A photo of your frame number so we can double-check whether your bike is affected by the recall.
A photo of your bike to ensure we order the correct color for you.
Our customer service team will place an order for the fork with Lapierre. We will also receive an estimated delivery date for when the fork will arrive.
Once we have received the delivery time, we will contact you immediately to schedule an appointment in our workshop. This way, you won’t have to make unnecessary trips to our store.
