The fabric used provides compression and a soft feel
The Assos Mille GT Summer features the OSSIDIA textile. This material provides a wonderful balance between frictionless comfort and good muscle compression. In addition, this textile has a UPF 50+ protection factor, effective breathability and moisture wicking capacity and good durability. These cycling shorts are regularFit, which is slightly wider than the racingFit from Assos.
Fewer seams and elastic braces
The cycling shorts have a two-piece 'butterfly' cut with a minimal number of seams. This wraps the legs smoothly, keeps the chamois in place while cycling and reduces friction. The elastic suspenders are nice and comfortable around the shoulders. At the back, they form a supportive A-frame, for extra stability.
Silicone grippers and raw-cut edge
To ensure that the Assos Mille GT Summer stays in place, it is equipped with silicone grippers. An additional advantage is that these grippers do not create excessive pressure. The ends of the trouser legs have a raw-cut and tape-reinforced edge. As a result, you experience a very smooth transition between fabric and body with these cycling shorts.
The seat pad is ideal for long cycling distances
The heart of the Assos Mille GT Summer is the GTS chamois, which is extremely suitable for long-distance cycling. The chamois is provided with double-layer memory foam and offers optimal support for the seat. The 3D top layer and the kraterCooler ventilation holes increase the padding's breathability.
- XLG (XXL) is one size larger than XL, including longer sleeves and pant legs.
- TIR (XXXL) is one size larger than XLG. (Wider hip and upper leg circumference)

Best cycling shorts
Great product, it's the second one I've bought, the first one now has about 10,000 km and is still in great condition, I've used it on 300km races and both gravel and road. Very expensive but well worth the money.

Wonderfully comfortable cycling shorts, worth the high price.
I have had several older Milles from assos and a recent RS (the lightweight racing trousers). Compared to both, this one is really a step up in terms of comfort. Only downside, my other bibs are disappointing now that I have these, so have had to buy a second one. The price is hefty, but in my experience they do last a very long time.
Pros & Cons
5 / 5
Fantastic for long drives in summer
Just tested with a 100-mile gravel round trip Veluwe: fantastic! Super comfortable due to the slightly thicker "chamois", and despite the combination of new trousers plus new saddle, totally no saddle sore.
Pros & Cons
1 / 5
Falls short due to fast wear and see-through
I initially liked these trousers, only after a short period (2-3 months) of wearing them were already showing through above my chamois. I find this a common problem with Assos trousers. I will look for a brand that has this much less easily.
Pros & Cons
1 / 5
In my case, an expensive mis-buy.
Thick chamois prevents saddle pain. In my case, the chamois shifts causing edge chamois felt on seat and chafing area in groin. Detracts from cycling pleasure.
