Typical Giro quality and MIPS for this price is a no-brainer.

- Leon, 27 April, 2020

Cheap and solid quality, so you can't go wrong. The fit runs true to my usual sizing and there is an amount of adjustability to fit perfectly for your head. The strap is what it is, personally I like a slight lightly thicker one or a leather chin strap like POC provide, but after a few rides clocking over 2 hrs each, it does not hinder at all. My only criticism is that it does warm the noggin more than others, but not enough to be put off.

Great helmet!

- Paul, 19 September, 2019

Great helmet, comfy and looks the biz! Not quite as comfy as the 2016 model though (which I already have) as there is slight difference in the back of the retaining system, which can give me a sore spot over time. Apart from that though, its spot on!

Pros & Cons

Comfortable
Looks great!
Not as comfy as older 2016 model

Great looking helmet with added MIPS.

- Jonathan, 4 July, 2019

Bought this as a replacement for a brilliant Bluegrass Goldeneyes. Would have bought another but the price had gone up and saw the Chronicle with MIPS. Giro helmets have a great reputation and this helmet certainly offers great protection, great fit, light weight and added protection from the MIPS system. The fact it had solid reviews in the press and was on offer £60 I went for it. Not regretted it. I would say that the fit is not quite as good as the bluegraa on my head but it is marginal. The polystyrene is exposed around the base so could be damaged but normal at this price point. I have also found the straps to be a little thin and can buzz in my ear. Overall very happy to recommend.

Pros & Cons

Good fit and no mushroom look
Lightweight
MIPS
Peak allows for goggles
Exposed edges can be damaged
Not quite perfect fit for my head
Straps are not the best quality

Comfortable with good coverage.

- Graeme, 8 June, 2019

Initial impressions are that it's comfortable, has good coverage and feels solid. Not too heavy and decent ventilation. Adjustable peak is a plus. I have no idea if MIPS is worthwhile or just marketing blarney, but I got this at the same price as a non-MIPS helmet.

Pros & Cons

Comfortable
Good coverage
Ventilation
Chin strap fiddly to set up, but that's normal

Good protection, great style

- Nick, 18 February, 2018

Looks good and fit is nice. Only problem is with the helmet covering more of the back of your head wearing glasses can be a bit uncomfortable. But guess that is the price of safety!

Pros & Cons

Comfortable
Good safety features
Nice design
Not great with glasses
